The Plymouth campus of Globe University/Minnesota School of Business first opened its doors to students in September of 2002. Today, our campus supports about 500 students and is an established part of the Plymouth community.
The Plymouth campus represents a recent chapter in the long and proud history of the Globe University/Minnesota School of Business network. The college now offers degree programs in business, health science, technology and legal science, and continues its commitment to student success.

History of Globe University/Minnesota School of Business
Globe University/Minnesota School of Business was founded in 1877 by Professor Alexander R. Archibald, formerly of Dartmouth College. The first training programs offered at the school were bookkeeping, shorthand, English and penmanship, all taught in a 3-room building in Minneapolis.
Over time, the school grew and changed management. Under the direction of Charles T. Rickard and Grove A. Gruman, GU/MSB moved to the Jeweler’s Exchange Building in downtown Minneapolis. In 1929, the school was purchased by another party – The Correll and Kamprath families – and the school relocated again, this time to the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce. The school was sold again in 1969 to ITT Educational Services.
Finally, Terry L. Myhre purchased Globe University/Minnesota School of Business in 1977; the Myhre family still oversees the growth and development of the school today.

Globe University/Minnesota School of Business is part of Globe Education Network (GEN), a consortium of career colleges in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota and Utah. Over the course of the past 130 years, the schools’ primary goal remains the same: we give students the practical training they need to find fulfilling jobs.
The Globe Education Network includes Globe University/Minnesota School of Business, Globe University, Minnesota School of Cosmetology, the Institute of Production and Recording and Globe University/Minnesota School of Business Online.
