Outdoor recreation
The people of Plymouth are not afraid of a little cold weather. When winter arrives, they ski, snowboard, ice skate, snowshoe, sled and go ice fishing. Parks and recreational facilities stay open throughout the winter—residents enjoy them year-round.
In the summer, Plymouth residents go outdoors to run, swim, play golf, ride bicycles, hike, hunt and generally enjoy the milder weather. Summer is also the best time to view the beautiful landscaping at Millennium Garden.
GU/MSB-Plymouth students can take a break from studying for their college degrees and head to nearby Plymouth Creek Park and Ice Center or Parkers Lake Park for both winter and summer activities.
If you like music, you’ll like Plymouth
In the summer months, many people congregate at Plymouth’s Hilde Performance Center, an open-air amphitheater, to listen to summer concerts. The city also has many smaller venues that give residents a variety of musical options throughout the year.
