Globe University/Minnesota School of Business-Plymouth has a diverse student body, including new high school graduates, adult learners, military personnel and international students. Our energetic students invigorate our community and are a driving force behind many activities, events and clubs available to students on and off campus.

Clubs at GU/MSB-Plymouth

GU/MSB provides resources and support for various student groups. Participation ranges from regular meetings to specific activities and on and off campus events. These clubs include:

Student Ambassadors. Any student is free to join Student Ambassadors. Members develop and refine their leadership skills and help portray an image of professionalism both on and off campus. Students involved in this club participate in a variety of activities, such as:

  • Planning and coordinating student activities on campus
  • Reaching out to new students
  • Representing GU/MSB at special events
  • Helping get other students involved in student life

SCNAVTA/Vet Tech Club. Many students in our veterinary technology programs are active in Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA), or Vet Tech Club. This group participates in a variety of activities both on and off campus, including:

  • Volunteering animal care services during floods and other emergencies
  • Fundraising for animals or animal organizations
  • Organizing Pet Spa Days
  • Coordinating pet food bake sales
  • Taking field trips to visit animal sanctuaries, farms and clinics

Medical Assistant Club. This group is open to all students in our medical assistant programs. Students in this club take part in numerous activities that enrich their medical assisting education, including:

  • Touring various allied health care settings
  • Fundraising for women’s shelters, breast cancer research or assisting families in need
  • Scheduling guests speakers to talk about different issues in healthcare
  • Organizing health fairs

DEX (Delta Epsilon Chi). DEX is open to all students who want to develop their business and leadership skills. DEX students can compete against students on the state and possibly national level in a variety of events, including business planning, human resources management and marketing.

Student Appreciation

Student Appreciation days are times scheduled throughout the year . These celebrations of our students’ contributions to our campuses are times for students to take a break from studying and interact with other students, staff and faculty by participating in activities such as:

  • Outdoor games
  • Water balloon toss
  • Summer barbeques
  • Sumo wrestling
  • Bungee runs

Late night study sessions make finals fun

Late Night Study at the Plymouth campus is a fun way for students to prepare for finals and have a good time. There is always an assortment of food – nachos, pizza, popcorn – and students count on playing video games on the big screen when they need a break from studying.
