International Student Admissions

Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB) – Plymouth welcomes international students and appreciates the richness they add to our student body. If you are an international student thinking about education in the United States, GU/MSB can provide you with the expertise you need to become a highly employable individual.

Contact our admissions department today at 1-866-476-2121 for more information. We are here to help you with any questions or concerns about becoming at student at GU/MSB.

Apply for school, get your visa

All international students are invited to apply to GU/MSB-Plymouth. Students who are accepted into our programs will immediately be provided with the necessary paperwork for their visa applications. Students who have their visas denied for any reason will be refunded the cost of their applications.

Keep in mind that most international students will not be eligible to work while they attend school in the U.S., unless their program requires on-the-job training. For this reason, international students are encouraged not to rely on employment wages to pay for tuition and living expenses while they attend college.

Financial assistant for international students

International students may be eligible for financial assistance. To qualify for assistance, a student must be one of the following:

  • U.S. Citizen or national (American Samoa or Swain’s Island)
  • Legal permanent resident of the U.S.
  • Eligible non-citizen in one of the following categories:
    • A conditional permanent resident with an I-551 C
    • A non-citizen with an I-94 stamped “Refugee,” “Asylum Granted,” “Indefinite Parole,” “Humanitarian Parole,” or “Cuban-Haitian Entrant.”

Students who do not fit into the above categories must have one of the following documents from the U.S. Citizenships and Immigration Service (USCIS):

  • I-94 (Arrival-Departure Record) with appropriate endorsement
  • Official documentation that the student has been granted asylum in the U.S.
  • Other proof from USCIS that the student is in the United States for other than a temporary purpose

Students who fall in one of the categories above should talk with our financial aid department to learn more about their eligibility for financial aid.
