Which accounting degree program is right for you?

  • Associate in Applied Science in Management Accounting. The associate degree can be completed in 18 months of full-time study. Coursework includes core accounting and business classes and general education classes.
  • Associate in Applied Science in Accounting and Tax Specialist. Although this associate degree in accounting is very similar to our management accounting degree, it includes extra emphasis on tax skills. Full-time students can still complete the program in less than two years.
  • Accounting Diploma. The accounting diploma program at GU/MSB-Plymouth is a good fit for the student who wishes to enter the workforce quickly, or the experienced accounting professional who needs the credential to get a raise or promotion. A full-time student can complete the program in a year.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  The bachelor’s in accounting degree program prepares students for leadership positions and career advancement within the field.  It also prepares students for certified public accountant (CPA) and certified management accountant (CMA) exams. It can be completed in 3 years of full-time study.

“I was really impressed with the accounting course structure. Each course builds on the last, all the way up to the advanced levels. Every day I take what I learned and apply it directly to my current job—I got the skills to be able to create an entire accounting interface.”

- Andy Schumacher, B.S. Accounting
