Paralegal programs
- Bachelor of Science in Paralegal. The demand for paralegals with four-year degrees is increasing; the bachelor’s degree program in paralegal is designed to meet that demand. This program includes advanced and specialized courses that cover topics such as american legal systems, law office management, legal writing, constitutional issues, corporate business structures and interviewing and investigation techniques.
- Associate in Applied Science in Paralegal. This two-year degree is for students who want to enter the workforce quickly but also want general education courses to complement their technical training. Students learn practical skills such as drafting legal documents, performing legal research and using legal research technology.
- Post-baccalaureate Paralegal Certificate. The paralegal certificate program can be completed in three quarters of full-time study and is designed specifically for people who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in another field. Coursework covers topics in legal research, legal terminology, litigation, probate practice, torts and legal writing.
Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma
The legal administrative assistant diploma program is designed to get students off to a quick start on their careers in the legal field. Legal administrative assistants and secretaries see that attorneys and other members of the legal team have the tools they need serve clients. They prepare court filings, perform legal research, serve as office managers and oversee the workflow of legal teams.
